I am located in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area, and I have over 12 years of administrative support background, ranging from legal, customer service, medical, and most recently, providing administrative support to small business owners and speakers in the eye care industry as my VA business launched. My skills sets include excellent written and oral communication skills, Word Perfect, Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint, several different desktop publishing softwares, and I continue to take classes to broaden my skill sets and add new services that I feel may benefit my clients in the future. I have volunteered for my church by helping to develop a newsletter using desktop publishing. This involved writing articles, typing, editing, proofing, layout, including photos, clip art, etc., coordinating with staff of newsletter, and decision making skills used upon delivery to printers. I have developed brochures for several of the small businesses I work with as long-term clients, to help promote their businesses to their specific industries.
